See what Dorte has made from our fabric
Dorte chooses all our fabric ranges and has a project idea for everyone of them! She always has a sewing project on the go, and if you have been to one of our Open Days you will have seen some of her creations. I thought it would be nice to put a blog together to show a small selection of the clothes she has made.
Dorte’s makes from our fabrics…
Dorte has just finished this lovely Katha Tunic by Schnittchen Patterns, made in our new range of Japanese Cottons, Geo Lines Indigo. The weight and drape of this fabric really suits the style of the tunic. It’s also long enough to be worn with tights and leggings.
Dorte made the Grainline Studio Tiny Pocket Tank in our September Blue Cotton Lawn.
This is the Wiksten Tova Tunic in our Cotton Chambray, this would look great in one of the Chambray dots fabric.
Are you noticing a blue theme? This is Tilly and The Buttons Bettine Dress in a Rayon Challis. She wore this on holiday last summer, there is a great video it her wearing this here.
Dorte’s festival dress looks amazing! This is Sewaholic’s Saltspring Dress in our Green Floral Palm fabric. It’s light and easy to wear.
This lovely dress was made from the Essex Linen aqua fabric.
More Beautiful creations…
This Rayon Challis circle skirt from made from Dorte’s own pattern she created for a free video tutorial on our website. Using a Rayon Challis drapes beautifully but you could use most fabrics for this design which are soft and floaty.
Dorte’s Laurel Dress in Brussels Washer also features in one of our videos, with little Zoe the dog.
The Sew Over It Wrap Dress is perfect for the Viscose jersey range, it’s so flattering and the quality of the fabric is amazing.
Merlin is also thinking this looks comfy, Dorte made the Avid Seamstress’s Raglan Dress for one of her daughters in our Quilted Cotton Jersey fabric.
This very popular Morris Blazer pattern from Grainline Studios is made in our Boiled Wool ochre.
Another simple circle skirt made from our faux leather which is softer than any I’ve come across making it really versatile.
Dorte made Colette’s Macaroon Dress from our Wool Herringbone, it looks so lovely on her, she has chosen a great fabric, with a lovely trim for extra detail! She recently wore this to a wedding.
Our Art Gallery Cotton Jerseys are ideal for the Tilly and The Buttons – Agnes Top, Dorte made two!
Happy Sewing! x
