Kathy Mac sews with Cable Knit Ponte Roma
It looks like a knitted jumper and it’s so comfortable to wear as it has an inner layer that is super soft against the skin.
The Astoria is so quick to make too, I managed to make this in two hours, which is a record for me. I didn’t rush it, it is just a simple pattern and the material is so easy to work with. Make sure you use a small zigzag stitch to keep it flexible and easy to get on and off. No overlocking or finishing of the seams necessary!
This lovely soft cable knit fabric is a smooth jacquard fabric, knitted and therefore stretchy. It is the perfect knit fabric for creating stylish cardigans, sweaters, warm dresses, scarves and jumpers.
Fabric contents: 81% Polyester 16% Viscose 3% Elastane. The jersey is 150cm wide and the weight is 340 grams/m2
Happy sewing. Kxx
