How To Do Fashion – Sewing Patternshow to do fashion

Nanna is the creator of How To Do Fashion sewing patterns, she lives with her family in Copenhagen and has always worked in the fashion industry. She worked in tailoring and pattern construction education, but never found a job she loved until she started teaching dressmaking. From here she began to produce her own patterns and developed the new wonderful collection that we have at our web shop.

“I love to create and make pretty things. I love vintage, and teaching about all my knowledge is something I am absolutely crazy about. My passion and love for clothing is found in the details, the good hand-craft and the clothing that fits perfectly on the body.”

We have eight sewing patterns from How To Do Fashion, there are lots of different versions and in some cases contain more than one pattern. Here are a few of them with fabric suggestions;

Svaneke No.8

This beautiful outfit is the Svaneke two piece blouse and skirt, the pattern is very versatile and can be combined in many different ways, and also together with No.9 Rønne. It’s feminine, vintage and at the same time modern.

The gorgeous buttoned shirt style Svaneke would look so lovely in our Cream Cotton Poplin Weave with Pink Stripe:

For a more structured evening version of the Svaneke use one of our Japanese Cottons or our Double Cloth.

Vanlose No.7

This gorgeous set is inspired by the woman  of the 1930s. The wide trousers has a high waist and the blouse a soft drapey neckline, together I think that’s make a very classy and feminine look. This pattern is suited for woven fabric.

Dorte has made the Vanlose Top in our new Organic Cotton Chambray fabric:

Dorte is also planning to make the Vanlose blouse and trousers in one of our stretch crepe fabrics, this is going to look amazing! We will send out photos on our email newsletter once she’s completed this! Sign up at the bottom of this page.

The blouse would look lovely in our Designer Fabrics; Wool Cotton Blend – black and white, or the new Cotton Fabric Blue Shimmer, but be quick with these designer fabrics! We don’t have a lot and once they’re gone, they’re gone!!
