New Named Spring Summer Sewing Pattern
We have the new Named Sewing Patterns and as usual they haven’t disappointed us! The girls always come up with unique styles, as well as the most stunning photography. The only problem is, you have to choose which one you want to make first! We have put together this blog post that includes all the new Named patterns, images and fabric suggestions for each. Have a read through, it’s impossible not to be inspired by these fab new designs…
The playground collection is inspired by children’s wear, simply, easy, comfortable and playful. These casual garments are designed to be combined with each other to make a range of full outfits. The collection of patterns are modern and stylist. The new named Playground range still managed to be elegant and feminine like all the Named Patterns collections.
Anneli Double Front Dress & Tee
The Anneli pattern includes two variations: A straight, ankle-length jersey dress, and a casual T-shirt. Both variations have a round neck finished with a neckband, and a double-layered front which creates an interesting wrap effect. The dress is sleeveless, and you can tie a belt at the waist The T-shirt is hip-length, and has loose-fitting sleeves.
Pick a light or medium weight fabric with drape for both the dress and the top. Choose a fabric with a small percentage of elastane or lycra. The sample dress is made of linen-blend jersey, and the sample T-shirt is made of cotton-blend jersey.
Ninni Elastic Waist Culottes
The Ninni features wide-legged crop pants with elastic waistband. A casual, very loose fit In-seam pockets at the sides.
Choose a light or medium weight stretch fabric with drape. The sample is made of stretch velour.
Ansa Butterfly Sleeve Dress & Top
The Ansa pattern includes two variations: a feminine cocktail dress and a casual top. Both variations have bell-shaped raglan sleeves and a pretty, curved cut at the chest. The dress is unlined, it has a zipper closure in the back and six waist pleats on the front. The dress is knee-length and semi-fitted. The top has a bell-shaped hem which is slightly longer in the back. You can insert piping to either the dress or the top to emphasize the curved cut at the chest.
Maisa Denim Jacket
The Maisa is a Classic, unlined button-down denim jacket with collar. The Short and loose-fitting design has flap pockets at the front Sleeve vents and wide button cuffs, with a wide band at the hem.
Choose a light or medium weight denim, or a similar non-stretch fabric. The sample is made of recycled denim. You can choose a contrasting fabric for the back. Be bold and combine unique fabrics, e.g. Remnants!
Choose a non-stretch, light or medium weight fabric suitable for trousers, e.g. Denim. The sample is made of light weight denim. Use a lighter, non-stretch fabric for the lining and pocket bags. The lining and pocket bags of the sample are made of cotton twill.
Helga Wrap Playsuit
The Helga is a playful and casual playsuit with wrap front and drawstring closure. The skirt panel at the front covers the legs of the playsuit. There are drawstring casing and gathers at the waist Racer back. The double spaghetti straps are a lovely detail and the bodice is lined.
Choose a light weight fabric with drape for both the bodice and the lining. The bodice and the lining of the sample are made of 100% Rayon.
Minttu Swing Top
The Minttu is a simple and loose-fitting A-lined jersey top. It has a narrow round neck and slightly angular armholes. This top has no side seams.
Choose a light or medium weight jersey fabric. The sample is made of rayon-blend Ponte Roma. Choose an interfacing with the same amount of stretch, or more, as the main fabric.
Reeta Midi Shirt Dress
The Reeta is a Midi-length shirt dress. It features button closure at the front and drawstring closure at the waist. The sleeves are wide with sewn-in turn-ups. It also has a shirt collar and yoked bodice, breast pockets with box pleats and deep vents at side seams.
Choose a light or medium weight fabric with drape. The sample is made of rayon.
