New Sew House Seven Sewing Pattern – The Toaster Sweater

Introducing the Toaster Sweater, the lovely fitted sweater is perfect for our wools knits like our Boiled Wool and also the popular French Terry, Sweatshirt or even Ponte Roma fabric for a lighter version. Their are two versions of the Toaster to choose from, a slim fit sweater with wide cuffs, a wide hem band and high neck. This version requires a stable knit to keep the neck structured, this is because it’s not high enough to fold over, this would be perfect for a sweatshirt or boiled wool for this reason…

The second version is a mix between a boatneck and a funnel neck. It’s slightly high, but wide and cuts straight across the neck. This version is loose at the underarm and swings out, away from the body. It’s shorter and has side vents, a very 60’s style sweater. Use a stiff fabric to make a more boxy sweater or something with more drape for a softer look. This version would be great in a lighter knit, like our Campan Jersey Stripes or a Ponte Roma. You can find the Sew Along tutorials by Sew House Seven here.
